Palma de Mallorca is a beautiful and stylish island with a mixture of the best monuments to explore, charming restaurants, and shops. The first monument on this fabulous island is La Seu Cathedral, also known as “Palma Cathedral” is actually the first thing that attract tourist attention when they arrive to Palma. Besides, it is a beautiful 14th-16th century Gothic cathedral in Palma de Mallorca constructed by the Crown of Aragon on the site of a Moorish-era mosque.

Insides the cathedral, a surface area of 6,600 square meters is divided into a nave and two aisles, the nave is the most widest and highest in the world. The magnificent rose window over the major altar at the west end is 11 metres in diameter and covers 97 square meters. It, together with the other rose and large picture windows, are the work of the architect, Gaudí.

The aisles give onto eighteen side-chapels. Of these, the Trinitat Chapel Mudejar-Style, is the oldest and serves as the burial-place of James II and James III, erstwhile monarchs of the Kingdom of Mallorca.

On the exterior, the south or Mirador door, visitors may enjoy one of the true gems of Spanish Gothic. The other façade contain; the Renaissance Style Major Portal and the northern l’Almoina Doorow.

The Second one is the BELLVER CASTLE situated on a hilltop three kilometers from the historic center of Palma de Mallorca offers a lovely view from the top.
